Career outcomes
A degree in medicine provides a pathway to multiple career opportunities, including specialist clinical practice, primary care medicine, medical research and medical education.
Professional recognition
Graduates from the Griffith program will be eligible for limited registration as medical practitioners. On successfully completing a subsequent one year internship in a hospital system, they will receive full registration by the State Medical Board. After completing at least one further year of residency in the hospital system, graduates will usually be eligible to start postgraduate specialty training in the clinical environment.
Master of Legal Medicine
Career outcomes
Graduates seek employment in management, administrative and policy making positions within the health care sector. They will be prepared to consult both industry and government on matters involving law and ethics in the delivery of health care services.
Graduates can expect increased professional recognition and an enhanced ability to provide leadership at institutional and government levels in relation to health law issues.
