The Bachelor of Biomedical Science degree program is a three-year full-time program designed to provide a balanced education in biomedical science. It also prepares students for postgraduate study in a range of medical and paramedical professions or to serve as a basic qualification for entry into suitable positions in the health industry.
Career prospects
Although it is anticipated that many biomedical science graduates will wish to continue their studies in some aspect of biomedical science, paramedical science or medicine, some may wish to enter the workforce directly upon graduation.
A typical employment position would be as a research assistant involved in medical research in a hospital or university research institute.
Graduates will also find employment as laboratory or scientific officers at hospitals and government departments.
