Professional Biography

Professor Itthagarun is the Discipline Head of Paediatric Dentistry, Dentistry and Oral Health, Griffith University, Australia. She received her DDS from Mahidol University, Thailand, followed by postgraduate clinical training and PhD in Paediatric Dentistry from the University of Hong Kong in 1994 and 1999, respectively. She received her training in hard tissue research at the Dows Institute for Dental Research, and the Indiana University School of Dentistry, USA.

Professor Itthagarun has published widely in different peer-reviewed international journals and written several book chapters since 1996. She is a recipient of several funding from competitive research grants and commercial companies from Denmark, Japan, UK and USA. Professor Itthagarun also maintains external research collaborations with the University of Hong Kong, Hong Kong; Dows Institute for Dental Research, University of Iowa, USA; Medical College of Georgia, USA and, University of Manitoba, Canada
