Professional Biography

Dr Vanessa Reher graduated in 1994 (UFMG/Brazil). Subsequently she completed a specialist training in Operative Dentistry in 1995. She moved to London (1995 – 1999) and got involved with Public Oral Health research. After she returned to Brazil, she worked in her private practice from 1999 to 2009. Between 2003 and 2005, Dr. Reher obtained her MSc in Periodontology at the PUC-Minas (Brazil). She worked as a lecturer in Human Anatomy, Head and Neck Anatomy, Dental Anatomy and Periodontology at the University Vale do Rio Verde Três Corações (UNINCOR), Brazil, between 2005 and 2009. Dr. Reher moved to Australia in 2009 as Lecturer in General Dental Practice at the School of Dentistry and Oral Health, Griffith University. She is the coordinator of the Clinical Dental Practice Module in year 3 and she also gives lectures for dental students in years 2 and 3. Dr. Reher has published papers, abstracts, two textbooks and 14 book chapters.
