Entitlements of Adjunct Members
- Adjunct members are entitled to:
- use the academic title and status of membership to the University in forums and correspondence in accordance with the Griffith University Code of Conduct;
- participate in School, College, or other element meetings, workshops and seminars;
- seek nomination to the School, College, or other element Committee and vote in applicable elections;
- access University information technology and library resources including library borrowing rights as determined by the Dean and Head of School and Director, Information Services;
- apply for University awards (e.g. teaching awards), scholarships and research grants;
- coverage by the University's Professional Indemnity Insurance and Public Liability Insurance, under the terms of those insurance policies, when acting on behalf of the University;
- other privileges and benefits available to academic staff of the University.
Selection Criteria for an Adjunct Appointment
- Educational history & qualifications.
- Employment history.
- Outcomes of professional activity in the health area:
- Innovation in the health clinical and community domain;
- Contribution to the health profession through membership and leadership roles in professional organisations;
- Workshops and presentations for professional health or medical bodies and the community; and
- Other significant professional activities.
- Outcomes or products of research including publications, prizes and awards.
- Research work in progress.
- Evidence of scholarly contribution.
- Evidence of successful competitive grant applications.
- References from the literature in the candidate's field providing external evidence of merit (for example, citations, published reviews of performance or books or exhibitions).
- Description of accomplishments of service to the University, Research Centre or external to the community of a nature which have produced demonstrable benefit to the Research Centre.
