    This workshop is targeting early career researchers who are within 10 years of completing their PhD, and current PhD students. The workshop will help you develop your methodological research skills as well as your knowledge of ICU Recovery.

    RCCCPI announces an ECR PUBLICATION WORKSHOP scheme for 2011.The ECR PUBLICATION WORKSHOP scheme aims to assist ECR’s with writing and submission of one publication. A maximum of 20 participants (10 in each workshop) will be selected.

Research Centre for Clinical and Community Practice Innovation Support

  • Statistical and Methodological Advice and Assistance
  • Dr Susan Barrett (susan.barrett@griffith.edu.au), a Biostatical Research Fellow employed at the Centre, provides statistical and methodlogical advice and assistance to members and research higher degree students on:
  • Survey design (demography, items, scales, usability)
  • Quantitative data analysis (nonparametric, parametric, SEM, optimal scaling, Rasch item analysis)
  • Leximancer (an automated content analysis tool to perform conversation and other forms of text analysis)
  • Grant proposals (ARC, DEST, NHMRC, etc) to identify appropriate research methodologies, fine-tune asscuate budgeting, ensuring content is closely aligned with other parts of the proposal such as justification of budgeting, stated aims etc.)
  • Refereed journal papers in terms of reporting research methodologies and analytic outcomes, ensuring that content is embedded appropriately in the literature review, rational, methods, discussion etc.
