The Bachelor of Public Health is a multi-disciplinary three year program that provides the knowledge and skills to work in a wide range of public health professions. It is offered at our Gold Coast, and Logan campuses.
It takes 3 years full-time to complete. The only prerequisite is English (4 SA).

This is a new program for 2008.
Details
The program integrates constituent core public health disciplines while allowing students to focus on knowledge and skills required for specific public health professions.
The foundation year provides essential background in population health studies, such as sociology for population health, epidemiology, interpersonal and group counselling skills, and healthy and ecologically sustainable development.
Introductory courses on Environmental Health, Health Promotion, and Workplace Health are provided together with introductory statistics. Nutrition will be embedded within these courses at a theoretical and practical level.
Upon completion of the foundation year, students will be able to undertake majors including:
Logan and Gold Coast:
- Nutrition
- Environmental Health
- Health Promotion
Logan only:
- Workplace Health and Rehabilitation
This program will begin in Semester 1 of 2008.
