Offered full-time at Griffith’s Gold Coast campus, the new Bachelor of Nutrition and Dietetics degree will provide the ideal way to prepare for a career as a fully qualified dietitian in just four years.
This degree focuses on the role of nutrition in the treatment and prevention of disease. The program incorporates fundamental health sciences including anatomy, physiology and biochemistry with more advanced studies of human nutrition as well as a 20-week work placement in both private hospitals and private industry.
Graduates can explore career pathways as a dietetitian or nutritionist in private and public hospitals, community health services, health promotion and public health units, in private practice and within the food industry. Other employment may include managing large-scale food services for organizations including the armed forces and correctional facilities or at major events such as the Olympics.
