Our midwifery degree is a unique program that combines innovative, flexible learning and the opportunity to work with women across the childbirth continuum.
Our Bachelor of Midwifery is accredited by the Australian Nursing and Midwifery Council.
It blends online education and two intensive blocks of on-campus study with on-the-job training in hospitals and community settings. You will also spend time in our midwifery laboratories that simulate the clinical environment.
As part of the program you will follow 20 women through their pregnancy, birth and period after birth. You may also have the opportunity to complete a rural, remote or international placement.
Upon graduation you will be a competent practitioner with the skills, knowledge and confidence to practice midwifery.
Registered nurses who would like to become midwives are now required to complete the Bachelor of Midwifery.
