Jane Menke
Ms Jane Menke, from the School of Nursing and Midwifery, is a lecturer in the Bachelor of Midwifery program at Griffith University. Jane is committed to, and passionate about, educating the next generation of midwives to provide woman-centred care, based on the best possible evidence.
Woman-centred care is the foundation for empowered women, who then create strong families and who are connected to their communities. Jane’s research focuses on the benefits of woman-centred continuity of midwifery care for the most vulnerable women in our society.

Dr Mary Sidebotham
Dr Mary Sidebotham is a midwifery researcher and lecturer within the Bachelor of Midwifery program.
She has an MA in healthcare ethics and law from the University of Manchester and her thesis examined the commercialisation of human gametes. She recently completed her PhD which examined the enculturation of UK migrant midwives into the workforce in Queensland.
Throughout her career she has always maintained a base in clinical practice and seeks opportunities to engage with women and their families to assess their views and ensure their voices are heard at all stages of service planning and delivery.
