Griffith University Early Start to Tertiary Study (GUESTS) Program

Year 12 students

The GUESTS Program gives you the opportunity to sample university life by allowing you to study a single course (subject) while undertaking semester one or two of Year 12.

Griffith Bio Year 11 and 12 Program

Year 11 and 12 students

The Griffith Bio Year 11 and 12 Program is a two-year part-time university course designed to help you get a head start on a health, medical or medical science career.

The program incorporates practical classes, clinical laboratories, demonstrations and lectures. These add value to your secondary school biology subject and allow you to experience an integrated university course while completing your senior studies.

On successful completion of the Griffith Bio Year 11 and 12 Program you may be eligible to receive 10 credit points of specified or unspecified credit towards an undergraduate degree program, which gives you savings on your HECS-HELP loan.

Griffith Health Year 11 and 12 Program

Year 11 and 12 students

Go Health Go Griffith Experience

Year 10 students

This motivational two-day event allows you to experience different elements of the Medicine programs and other health degree programs through practical and theoretical workshop sessions.

Campus tours and school visits

Year 8-12 students

We can organise for promotional staff, including current medicine students, to attend your school or organisation to deliver an interactive presentation on medicine careers and the highlights of our medicine programs. Alternatively, tours of the medicine facilities and teaching areas can be arranged. Check the Guidance Officers and Teachers website to book a campus tour or school visit and to find more information.

Junior Health Cadets Workshop Program

Year 6-7 students

This program is run on scheduled Saturdays throughout the year. You will have the opportunity to develop skills that are related to many health professions and medical sciences including exercise physiology, anatomy, and microscopy and infection control. The sessions are run by experienced health science educators who have developed a program that is fun and informative with a hands-on approach to learning.

Health Education Ambulance Community Outreach Program

School students (all ages), community groups and events

The Go Health Go Griffith Ambulance can visit your school or organisation to deliver interactive lessons in anatomy, medicine, safety, first aid and other health-related subjects. Book the Health Education Ambulance at the Go Health Go Griffith website.

We offer support and professional development programs for secondary school teachers of health education and biology subjects. The programs build on knowledge and skills around new developments in medicine, health, health education, and Griffith’s health activities and are delivered by our academics and health industry clinicians.
