2008 Challenge

In 2008, the Health4Life Challenge received limited entries and consequently the Judging format changed to a virtual display of digital projects submitted by participants.  The Judging process was undertaken by three Griffith University Staff members on Thursday 28 August and prizes were awarded based on the following criteria:

  • Unique and innovative approach
  • Evidence of both lateral and focused research
  • Impact and depth of the visual presentation
  • Originality of work
  • Reference to positive outcomes for the future

Due to the competitiveness this year with the School Prize category valued at $5000, Judges made the decision to provide two Encouragement Awards each valued at $2 500.  These two awards were given to Loganlea State High School for its project titled ‘Year 8 Dance Crew’ and Woodridge State High School’s ‘Walking Group’ Project. Both schools submitted excellent school project proposal and present a great initiative to get the school students, staff and local community in active leisure.
