Young and strong
Griffith Health is one of Australia’s largest health faculties with over 6500 full time students and almost 500 staff enjoying state-of-the-art facilities and the most up-to-date teaching programs. We continue to introduce new programs such as the Bachelor of Midwifery and the Bachelor of Nutrition and Dietetics (2010) and the Bachelor of Medical Laboratory Science (2011).
World-class health precinct
Health students enjoy a mix of on campus learning and clinical placements in community health and hospital settings. A world-class health, education and research precinct is being developed around our Gold Coast campus, and will include the new Gold Coast University Hospital, due to open by 2013.
Innovative teaching
Life is busy and study options need to be flexible. We offer programs across five campuses, online delivery for many courses, and some of our programs are even fast-tracked with summer semesters to get you into your career earlier.
Working together
Health professionals work in multidisciplinary teams so we’ve designed our programs that way. Many students study a common first year program and get to know their peers in other programs, some of whom they can expect to work with in different health roles as they graduate and enter the health workforce.
Social justice
We care about health inequities, from the 17-year gap in life expectancy between Indigenous and non- Indigenous Australians to preventable child deaths in developing countries.
Student placements with community groups or international exchanges will put you in the picture too.
