The Griffith Health Institute (GHI), established in 2007, is a large multidisciplinary research institute with a focus on chronic disease prevention - specifically cancer, cardiovascular disease, infectious disease and mental health and an approach that encompasses behavioural, molecular, clinical and population components of research.

GHI has six Research Programs, each specialising in a particular research strength. As a result of this breadth of expertise across the research programs, the Institute is well positioned to provide novel responses to major health issues affecting Australia and the world.

2011 Gold Coast Health and Medical Research Conference
The 2011 Gold Coast Health and Medical Research Conference, an initiative of the GHI, was held at SeaWorld Nara Resort, Gold Coast on 1 & 2 December. First Annual Report
The publication of the Griffith Health Institute’s first Annual Report in December brought the curtain down on a significant year for the GHI, marked by important research advancements, growth and achievements.
