School programs
In collaboration with Education Queensland comprehensive programs – Griffith Health, Griffith Biology and Griffith Exercise and Sports Science have been designed and is available to schools. The programs align with, and contribute to, the units of the Senior Syllabus curriculum documents within the existing school curricula and can be monitored by the university and schools through collaborative assessment and examination.
Students actively participating in one or more of the programs have access to the university tutorial sessions, lectures and experiences at scheduled times and venues throughout the course.
Support has also been provided for the teachers of these programs in the schools through Griffith University's online teaching and learning environment, Learning@Griffith.
The introduction of these programs into schools generates interest in the health disciplines for students and rewards them with a course credit for Health Promotion and/or Cell Biology or a specified credit within a selected course should they enrol in any of the specified Griffith health undergraduate degree programs.
