Physiotherapy Clinic
Reduced fees apply for all members of the community who are seen by a supervised student (either undergraduate or postgraduate). EFTPOS facilities are available.
If consulting a supervised pre-registered student
- $40.00 for initial visit
- $30.00 for subsequent/follow up treatment
If consulting a registered physiotherapy postgraduate student
- $50.00 for initial visit
- $44.00 for subsequent/follow up treatment
If consulting a registered physiotherapist staff member
- $70.00 for initial visit
- $64.00 for subsequent/follow up treatment
Nutrition and Dietetics Clinic
We offer nutrition services provided by Accredited Practising Dietitians. Our dietitians are qualified to advise you on all nutrition related matters and also have clinical training to modify diets to manage a number or health conditions. Our dietitians have the skills and knowledge to manage a wide range of health conditions such as:
- Anaemia
- Cancer
- Coeliac Disease
- Diabetes
- High blood pressure
- Irritable Bowel Syndrome
- Osteoporosis
- Pregnancy and maternal health
- Renal disease
- Sports nutrition
- Weight loss
A referral is not necessary to see a dietitian at Griffith University.
Initial appointments can cover the assessment of your nutritional needs and goals, the assessment of your eating patterns, evaluation of your medical history, development of personalised eating plans, and separating nutiritional facts from fiction.
Consultation fees
- $75.00 for initial 60 minute appointment
- $50.00 for 30 minute follow-up appointment
Griffith University students and concession card holders fees
- $60.00 for initial 60 minute appointment
- $40.00 for 30 minute follow-up appointment
Rebates
Medicare rebates are available for individuals with a Chronic Disease Management plan from their doctor. This plan was previously know as the Enhanced Primary Care plan. This rebate covers 5 visits per calendar year.
Most private health funds also provide rebates for visits to a dietician. Rebate amount differs depending on the level of cover. Check with your health provider.
