Liz Jones is a social / organisational psychologist
- Key research interests are inter-group and health communication
- Currently researching communication between health practitioners and clients, and clinical handovers and multidisciplinary communication in health settings.
- In addition, Dr Jones has researched communication during organisational change.
- Stress and adjustment during transition. Her current research project focuses on adjustment by parents to the birth of a premature infant. This research is being used by hospitals in discharge planning.
Current teaching areas
- Liz Jones is currently Deputy Head of School and thus is responsible for day-to-day administration of psychology at the Mt Gravatt campus, including the development and evaluation of all programs offered at that campus.
- Teaches interpersonal skills, social psychology, organisational change and human resource development. Dr Jones teaches across undergraduate psychology and postgraduate organisational psychology programs
