Research expertise

  • Management of change processes at individual, group, organisational and community levels
  • Conflict management, grief counselling, learning and teaching effectiveness, interpersonal effectiveness, couple relationship education and professional supervision
  • Supervised masters and doctoral research projects in areas such as mentoring, workplace communication, bullying nd the design of learning and training strategies

Current teaching areas

  • A/Prof Wilson is the First Year Advisor for the Mt Gravatt campus of the School of Psychology. The FYA role is responsible for assisting commencing students to make a successful transition to university by leading a whole-of-school approach to student orientation and engagement. The role offers students individual consultation and group programs designed to facilitate academic and social adjustment.
  • Associate Professor Wilson is also Chair of the Griffith University Educational Excellence Committee which contributes to enhancing learning and teaching quality across the University.
  • She is the 2007 recipient of the Prime Minister's Award for Australian University Teacher of the Year.
  • Associate Professor Wilson contributes to the School's undergraduate and honours programs in areas such as interpersonal skills, community, counselling, organisational psychology, and process facilitation.
