Responsibilities

• Provide advice and support to Indigenous Australian students and University staff
• Work collaboratively with Indigenous students to provide culturally appropriate support
• Assess and identify the learning needs of Indigenous Australian students either individually or collectively, including undergraduates and postgraduates, mature age students and school leavers
  
• Coordinate the delivery of learning support services including recruitment, orientation, training and supervision of sessional service providers for the ITAS programme in line with DEST requirements
• Develop and implement student support programs with other members of the Unit and the broader University to meet the identified needs of students.
• Undertake projects in areas relating to the enhancement of student support and services and community outreach activities to promote the services provided by the GUMURRII SSU and Griffith University to future Indigenous students, their families and the wider community
• Contribute to the on going planning and development of Unit activities and promote the services of the Unit in the broader University community
