There are four ways to locate the information which you wish to find within the Griffith Portal:
- Search
- Navigation
- Portlets
- Breadcrumbs
Search
The search facility within Griffith Portal provides very specific results. The results which are identified as being the best match for your search term will appear under the heading ???Recommended Pages???. All other results will be listed under the heading ???Fully matching documents???. This will mean that you will be able to locate the pages you are looking for very quickly.
Navigation
The left-hand Navigation will change depending upon your role in the University community. Students, academic and general staff will all be able to view items which are specific to their roles.
Portlets
A wide selection of Portlets are available for you to display within your Griffith Portal Home Page. The portlets will provide information and may also include links to other web pages. More information about the Portlet Options and Personalising the Griffith Portal is available.
Breadcrumbs
When you go to a web page, whether via the Search facility, a link or through the left-hand navigation, the top left of the page shows the ???breadcrumb??? trail. You may click on any part of the breadcrumb trail to go directly to that page. For example, if you clicked on ???Enrolment and timetables??? in the above Breadcrumb, it would open the page listing all the resources available about enrolment and timetables, including scholarships.
