Please ensure that your application is received by 4.30pm on the closing date. Late applications may be considered under special circumstances, usually at the discretion of the Chair of the Selection Panel.

Assessing your application

The steps include:

  • A Selection Panel will consider all applications submitted and shortlist those which clearly advance their case for the position against the selection criteria;
  • Shortlisted applicants will be invited to attend an interview with the Selection Panel, normally three to five people. More Interview Tips (PDF, 38K).
    • In the event that you are shortlisted, please bring evidence of your qualifications (i.e., originals or certified copies) where relevant.
    • Shortlisted applicants, in addition to the interview, may be required to complete other selection assessments (such as work tests or similar). The use of this selection strategy allows you an opportunity to answer questions or demonstrate your skills away from the interview situation and offers additional information for the Panel to consider.
    • Please advise if you have any special requirements for attendance at the interview, such as building access or communication assistance;
  • The Selection Panel will contact the referees of the most competitive applicants and information gathered will be cited in the selection report; More Referees Tips (PDF, 31K)
  • The successful applicant will be recommended for appointment;
  • All interviewed applicants will be notified of the selection outcome, with post-selection feedback available, on request only, through the Chair of the Selection Panel; and
  • All unsuccessful applicants will be notified.
