- Designed for high achieving students, the Griffith Honours College will provide students with experiences and skills that compliment their undergraduate degree.
- What will I be doing in the Honours College?

Honours College students will take part in some required and some optional activities. These include:
- Elective courses offered exclusively to Honours College students
- Mentoring by a leading Griffith researcher, academic or industry partner
- International study, work and internship opportunities
- Industry or Research experience
- Annual Honours College Symposium
- Honours College development and networking activities
- Social events
- What are the benefits of being in the Honours College?

Honours College students will benefit from a unique educational experience. You will:
- Be Challenged – elective courses are tailored for high achieving students and are only available to those in the Honours College
- Receive Personal Attention – students will take part in regular one-on-one sessions with a mentor to give them guidance throughout their University years and steer them towards their career goals
- Collaborate – Share ideas and work with leading Griffith researchers, academics and other high achieving students across a number of disciplines
- Experience the World – students will be encouraged to gain a global perspective by studying or working overseas for a few weeks, a few months or a year
- Gain Practical Skills – opportunities to use in the workplace what is learnt in lectures
- Be Recognised - as high achieving amongst the University community
- How will it help me when I graduate?
- By taking part in the College you will be able to not only gain academic knowledge but also in demand skills – leadership, teamwork, communication, a global perspective, research and industry experience - that will make you stand out upon graduation. The Honours College will produce highly sought after graduates with the specialist knowledge and broad management competencies to become the CEO's, researchers, educators, creators and community leaders of the 21st century.
- How much time will it take up?

This will vary from student to student and you will get out of it what you put in, but we anticipate you will need to allow 10-15 hours per semester. You will be required to attend some activities to remain in the College. These are:
- Exclusive Orientation activities
- Mentoring program – at least one meeting per semester
- Honours College Symposium – 1 day per year
- Leadership development activities – at least one per semester
All other activities are optional.
- Does it cost any extra?
- There is no additional charge to participate in the Honours College. Should you choose to take an Honours College course as part of your degree, normal course fees will apply.
- Which campus do I have to attend?
- The Honours College will run on all Griffith University campuses.
- Will it take longer to finish my degree?
- No, it will not take any longer to finish a degree by participating in the Honours College.
- How long would I be in the Honours College?
- You will be able to remain in the Honours College for the length of your undergraduate degree
- Will Honours College experiences count towards my degree?
- In some cases, yes. Honours College courses, industry and research placements and some international experiences may be counted towards your degree. You should seek further advice regarding credit arrangements prior to undertaking any of these activities.
- Will my academic transcript be different?
- Yes. You will have a noting on your transcript identifying you as an Honours College student.
