Essay Planning and 'Doing the Math'

The video presentation for this session outlines some essential tips for breaking down and planning an essay, including how to ‘do the math’ to determine how many words you should be devoting to each of the sections of the essay task.  The Resources section contains some additional tools to further assist you, such as a downloadable essay plan template and tip sheets on mind-mapping and essay planning, in addition to a range of useful weblinks to connect with more support materials to help you plan out and structure your essays.
