About this workshop
Designed for Research Higher Degree Convenors who have been appointed by elements to respond to local issues and needs with regard to Research Higher Degree students and supervisors.
The responsibilities of the Research Higher Degree Convenor involve managing relationships between research higher degree students and supervisors, and staff from other academic and administrative elements. Reference to relevant University policies and procedures assists convenors to access and interpret information for students and supervisors. An expert panel demonstrates how to provide best practice advice on monitoring student progress, supervision issues, resource issues, examination expectations and managing grievances.
