Recycling

There are several avenues for recycling unwanted materials and equipment such as:

  • re-use within your workplace (e.g. using waste paper for note taking, putting unwanted consumerables out for others to use);
  • re-use in other areas of the University (e.g. letting others know you have an old laptop that might be useful for presentations);
  • re-use outside of the University (e.g. donate old computers to the equity scheme run by Student Services for student use etc); or
  • disposal to a recycler who can certify that all broken down components will be disposed of in environmentally responsible manner.

Note that for asseted equipment you need to contact Finance and Business Services prior to transfer or disposal.
