Griffith University offers this service free of charge to help verify academic qualifications awarded by Griffith University or predecessor institutions.

The online component of this facility allows individuals to search Griffith University’s database* for graduates with matching surname and date of birth. Following a successful match the search will indicate the graduate’s qualification and the date of award conferral.

Only graduates who have qualified and had an award conferred will be verified. Verification of course completion where the student has completed course requirements but an award has not yet been conferred is not within the scope of this service.

Under the University's privacy policy, the University can provide the following information as it is a matter of public record

  • That an individual student has been conferred an award
  • The name of award

Privacy legislation does not permit any other information being released without authorisation.

In the event that an award has been conferred and no data is returned you should lodge a request via email to graduations@griffith.edu.au.

Information available

Online data is available for Griffith University (including Queensland College of Art and Queensland Conservatorium) for 2002 onwards.

Online data is not available for the following*:

  • Pre 2002 - Griffith University including (Queensland College of Art and Queensland Conservatorium)
  • Brisbane College of Advanced Education (Mt Gravatt Campus)
  • Gold Coast College of Advanced Education

*To verify these qualifications, please submit a request via email to graduations@griffith.edu.au.

If a result is not returned, please check that the student's name and date of birth have been entered accurately. If no result is returned following this check, you will require written consent of the person whose details you are verifying. Please submit a request for an authorisation form via email to graduations@griffith.edu.au

Please allow five working days for processing either of these requests.
