Official Statement

An Official Statement may be used in the graduation process as follows:

  • A final semester student can request an Official Statement to provide details of their graduation eligibility status and their expected graduation date. This can be used to show employers, potential employers or registration boards that the student has nearly finished their degree and is expected to complete in the near future.
  • A student who completes their degree requirements mid-semester (and therefore, outside a main graduation round) can request an Official Statement to confirm that they have met all degree requirements and will graduate in the coming round of graduations. This can be used to show employers, potential employers or registration boards that the student has finished their degree even though they are yet to receive their testamur (degree certificate).

Official Statements are produced on official Griffith University letterhead. A $10.00 processing fee applies.

You can submit your request for an Official Statement at any Graduate Student Centre or Student Administration Centre.

Official Academic Transcript

An Official Academic Transcript lists all courses undertaken by a student and the grade achieved for each course. It also states the date that the student graduated and the date that their award was conferred.

All graduates* are issued with a complimentary Official Academic Transcript within six weeks after the final ceremony in the current graduation round.

  • Graduates who require an Official Academic Transcript prior to receiving the complimentary copy in the mail need to complete the Request for an Official Academic Transcript form and pay the $10.00 processing fee.
  • Graduates who require additional copies of their Official Academic Transcript are also required to complete the Request for an Official Academic Transcript form and pay the $10.00 processing fee per copy.

Replacement Testamur

A graduate may request a replacement testamur (degree certificate) if their original testamur has been lost, damaged or if the graduate has changed their name. Replacement testamurs are issued at the discretion of the Graduations Office. There is a $50.00 charge plus postage.
