Program convenors
Program Convenors have a leadership role to play in ensuring that the University's programs of study are coherent in design, planning, management, delivery and assessment. Program Convenors are responsible for:
- providing a supportive environment for teaching within the programs teaching team;
- providing opportunities for members of the programs teaching team to contribute in a meaningful way to the programs organisation and management;
- encouraging the development and maintenance of resource based materials associated with the programs delivery;
- encouraging peer review of the program teams teaching; and
- regularly reviewing and evaluating the programs performance.
Program Convenor Policy:
GIHE provides a Workshop for Program Convenors (PDF 513k) which includes a range of strategies for dealing with the complexity and demands of this role.
Registration is essential for all GIHE professional development events and staff are advised to register early to avoid disappointment. To register for any of the programs advertised, please respond to gihe-register@griffith.edu.au with your name, school and contact details.
This site will be developed to provide links to a range of resources to support Program Convenors.
