Communities of practice

In 2008, the GIHE will host a university-wide network for academic staff interested in the scholarship of learning and teaching in higher education. The network aims to foster leadership and support staff who are committed to sustaining effective and rewarding teaching practice through scholarship and collegial sharing of strategies, ideas, projects and resources. The scholarship of learning and teaching will also provide important mentoring opportunities in which potential learning and teaching grant and award applicants can connect with successful grant and award holders.

Video conference venues have been booked at the Gold Coast and Nathan campuses so that staff can participate in the CoP across campuses at the same time.

Registration is essential for all GIHE professional development events and staff are advised to register early to avoid disappointment.
