Evaluation

Griffith is committed to a University-wide approach to high quality program, course and teaching evaluation. This follows from its commitment to excellence in student-centred education and continuous quality improvement in learning, teaching, and curriculum design.

Formative and summative evaluation of programs, courses and teaching at Griffith are important for:

  • quality assurance purposes
  • fostering scholarly teaching
  • academic staff performance review for the purpose of planning and promotion
  • providing academic staff with evidence to guide curriculum review and documentation of teaching excellence
The GIHE offers resources to support staff in developing a strategy for continuous improvement of teaching and courses through the use of a range  evaluation methods that are effective, efficient, comprehensive, systematic and sustainable.
