Helen Kidd

Ask Helen Kidd what's best about Griffith and her answer's unequivocal - flexibility.

That was crucial to Helen who completed two postgraduate programs virtually simultaneously, had two babies (she already had four), and ran an IT consulting business all while completing postgraduate studies.

"I could do it because of the way Griffith structures its courses," Helen explained.

"Griffith's lecturers are great and I loved having childcare on-campus." Helen Kidd

"I did a half-time workload for a year and a summer semester, and another semester in Singapore. I flew to Singapore for weekend classes and was home on Monday morning."

Helen calculates her postgraduate qualifications have boosted her financial position by about 50 per cent.

"I learnt a lot about managing debt and equity and that's also enhanced our personal finances," she said.

Helen and her husband are investigating business opportunities in start-up companies, and international trade, and developing their consulting business by acquiring enterprise architecture expertise.
