Griffith OP 1-6 Guarantee
Current Year 12 students
If you are awarded an OP 1-6 (or ATAR of 90.00+) you are eligible for the Griffith OP 1-6 guarantee, which gives you guaranteed entry into most of our undergraduate degrees.
Pre-requisites still apply and there are some exceptions to the degrees included in the scheme - see below.
Mature Student (non-year 12) applicants
If you want to go to university but have left school, you will be assessed by QTAC and given a rank based on your previous studies and work experience. If you are awarded a rank of 90.00+, you qualify for the Griffith OP 1-6 Guarantee, which gives you guaranteed entry into most of our undergraduate degrees. (Pre-requisites and some exceptions apply, see below.)
To work out your rank, QTAC assesses your knowledge and skills gained through professional qualifications, bridging programs, work experience or other pathways. Make sure you include them on your QTAC application.
Exceptions
There are some exceptions to the OP1-6 scheme, most of them in degrees where prerequisites apply - medicine, dentistry, physiotherapy, midwifery, nutrition and Queensland Conservatorium degrees are exempt from the scheme.

How to apply
Applications for most Griffith University programs are made through QTAC. Students applying for Gold Coast campus programs only, have the additional option of applying through the New South Wales-based UAC.
You don’t need to apply for the guarantee, just submit your application or change of preference to QTAC/UAC for guaranteed entry.
