Your application

When submitting an application for a position at Griffith University, it must be marked private and confidential, include the reference number for the position quoted in the advertisement, and should contain the following supporting documentation:

Response to selection criteria

The selection process at Griffith University is based on an assessment of relative merit in relation to the selection criteria. As the first stage of the selection process is based on your written application, it is important that you provide the selection committee with information that demonstrates your ability to satisfy the selection criteria. Submitting your application

All applications should be submitted online and will be acknowledged within 24 hours.

Please ensure that your application is received by 4.30pm on the closing date. Late applications may be considered under special circumstances, at the discretion of the Chair of the Selection Committee.

Assessing your application

The steps include:

  1. A Selection Committee will consider all applications received by the specified closing date
  2. Shortlisted applicants will be invited to attend an interview with the Selection Committee
  3. In the event that you are shortlisted, you will be advised if any additional documentation is required at the time of interview
  4. Shortlisted applicants, in addition to the interview, may be required to complete other selection assessments (such as work tests or similar)
  5. Please advise if you have any special requirements for attendance at the interview, such as building access or communication assistance
  6. The Selection Committee will contact the referees of the most competitive applicants and information gathered will be cited in the selection report
  7. The successful applicant will be recommended for appointment
  8. All interviewed applicants will be notified of the selection outcome, with post-selection feedback available, on request only, through the Chair of the Selection Committee
  9. All applicants will be notified of the outcome of their application.
