The submission process is in two stages.

  1. The contributor must complete an Online Submission Form where contributors will be required to submit an abstract (less than 200 words). Material submitted for publication must be of a professional quality. The abstract will be initially reviewed by GJE management to determine the appropriateness of the topic material. Material will be returned to the author[s] without further attention if it is not up to the required standard and/or if the material is not appropriate for inclusion in the GJE.
  2. If the abstract indicates that the submission is appropriate for inclusion in the GJE, the contributor will be asked to submit the full piece along with a signed Contributor's Publication Agreement:
    1. Submit manuscripts to the Editor[s] via email as an attachment or via mail (see Contact Details) on a compact disc as a word document in Arial 11 point typeface; and
    2. Complete and sign a Contributor's Publication Agreement and return it to the GJE management via fax or mail

Contributors are required to complete these steps before the formal review process begins. Please note if the Contributor's Publication Agreement is not completed properly, signed and returned via mail or fax, the submission process is not complete.

Review

Research papers will be independently refereed by at least two external peers before publication. The contributor[s] are encouraged to nominate up to two referees with their submission (who may include members of the editorial board), to undertake the review process While contributors are not required to do so, nomination of referees may lead to quicker acceptance and publication. There is no obligation on the editors and editorial board to use the referees nominated and the editorial decision based on the reviews shall be final. The contributors must acknowledge acceptance of each page of the proof which will be provided in PDF format via email prior to the document being published. Contributors will be notified via email when their submission has been published. The GJE aims to have an efficient lag time between submission and publication. Referees will be required to commit to deadlines.
