The Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Advisory Committee provides advice on the establishment and maintenance of effective and ongoing consultative mechanisms to enable the Aboriginal and Islander community to participate in institutional planning and decision-making relating to Aboriginal and Islander education. It also advises on the design, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of programs aimed at increasing the enrolment of Aborigines and Torres Strait Islanders in University studies, assisting such to successfully complete their studies.
