Biography
Dr Dodson has held research intensive positions since finishing his PhD in 2002 and was promoted to Senior Research Fellow within the URP at Griffith University in 2008. Dr Dodson's work has addressed interesting and unique urban social scientific research problems and has synthesised insights across urban planning, transport, geography and housing studies. In particular his latter work has produced considerable insight into urban household sector stressors in Australian cities, including household exposure to housing debt and higher oil prices. Dr Dodson has a research record of over 50 publications, which includes one sole author and one joint author book, 11 refereed journal articles and 12 refereed conference papers. Through his work he has contributed extensively to scholarly, policy and public debates on urban matters in Australia and internationally. Dr Dodson has also provided research-based consulting advice to governments.
