Student Opportunities
Research higher degree (Masters and PhD) and Honours students play an important role in the research efforts of the Australian Rivers Institute. Student projects are closely aligned with ARI's primary research programs.
Students are well supported in terms of computing and laboratory facilities, equipment, top-up stipends, field travel and travel support to national and international meetings. The ARI also offers vacation scholarships for recent graduates interested in pursuing a research career.
A collaborative and cooperative culture encourages students to share their ideas, progress and findings. Through established links with the State and Federal land and water resource management agencies, students graduate with a strong appreciation of the major issues and practical experience in natural resource management.
