- Thesis
- Transformation of catchment nutrients in sub-tropical rivers
- Description
- My thesis has focused on the role of river systems in transforming non-point nutrient inputs. The study has included quantification of nitrogen and phosphorus partitioning in river reaches and an assessment of the role of reach scale geomorphology on nutrient distribution. The study has also compared phosphorus sorption and speciation in soils and sediments and looked at the effect of various physiochemical properties on the chemistry of phosphorus in the upper Brisbane River catchment.
