Project description:This study emerged from a desire to establish the levels of NRM uptake by Queensland local government prior to their amalgamation into new local government organisations in March 2008 and prior to the introduction of the new federal government NRM national program (formerly NHT 3 ? now 'Caring for Our Country'). A survey of selected councils in a number of participating regional NRM body areas has provided a number of case studies that have provided an insight into the status of NRM in a number of rural, fringe and urban councils.

Project description: This project assists the response of Bhutan to environmental management and sustainability. In moving towards sustainable development, environmental management must go further, mainstreaming or integrating environment into development planning within all sectors.
