Project description

This research based project identified the rationale, aims and operational elements of contemporary metropolitan strategies. Typical characteristics and elements of a contemporary metro strategy are identified and those features that are innovative or especially relevant to the Sydney context are highlighted. The report also summarised the strengths and weaknesses of different strategic approaches and operational forms.
