Project description
The LUPTAI pilot project commenced in 2005 and comprises of two phases. Phase 1 sought to develop a methodology for the development of a land use and public transportation accessibility index, to apply and map the index for part of Gold Coast City, and to assess its practicality as an applied tool in development assessment. Phase 2 of the project is to focus on developing the relevant options to enable a LUPTAI to be used as a decision-support tool by local and state government agencies in a range of activities, including the development of Local Growth Management Strategies. Phase 2 commenced at the completion of Phase 1.
