Project description
This research outlines the current understanding of the factors contributing to concentrations of unemployment in the Logan Region, particularly in areas such as Marsden, Kingston, Loganlea, Woodridge and Browns Plains. Drawing on insights from social scientific literature the paper shows that new economic, social and public policy developments have changed the geography of employment and housing. The research reviewed suggests that housing policy and location exert a powerful influence on labour market outcomes.
