Project description
The Goodna and Gailes areas have had significant Government attention in the past decade, being a subject of both the Commonwealth/State's Building Better Cities and the State's Community Renewal programs. Consultations for both programs clearly indicated that public transport access and safe and easy movement around and beyond these suburbs are a high priority for residents. The aim of this project was to work with members of the Goodna and Gailes communities to highlight issues and areas for transport improvement through a survey and maps. The project demonstrated the use of maps as communicative and advocacy tools for communities.
