Research Expertise

Jo-Anne Ferreira is a researcher in the field of environmental education. She has undertaken research projects in Australia and South Africa, most notably in the area of teacher professional development. Most recently, she has developed teaching resources for Brisbane City Council and has undertaken a review of models of professional development in teacher education in Australia for the Australian Federal Government. She is also undertaking research into the strategies utilised by environmental educators to encourage the adoption of environmentally responsible behaviours.
