Research Expertise
My research and teaching are motivated by an interest in improving the effectiveness planning practice especially by focusing on the challenges of implementing planning in market-based economies and by basing it on a sounder understanding of the realities of urban development. I am particularly interested in the nature of real estate development and of the strategies of developers and the implications for urban development and for planning.
