We offer a number of preparatory courses to prospective and commencing students to assist with university study.

  • Self paced or intensive bridging courses meet the Maths A or B prerequisites to enter Griffith University.
  • Short courses assist commencing students to come "up to speed" before starting university study. These courses are particularly useful for students who have no or limited prior studies in the study areas, have had a significant break from prior studies or who simply wish to have a refresher course in a particular field.

Mathematics A and B Bridging Program (Gold Coast)

This self paced modular Maths Bridging Program runs on Monday nights from  6.00pm to 9.00pm, on the Gold Coast campus. Students work through 9 modules, which meet the Maths A and Maths B prerequisite for university study at Griffith University. Being self paced, there is no set starting date, therefore participants can start the course on any Monday night.

Starts on 20 February - 12 November 2012.

Mathematics B Bridging Course (Nathan)

This intensively run course is for students who are contemplating studying a program in 2012 that has a Mathematics B (or equivalent) prerequisite. 
This course also suits students who wish to strengthen their mathematical skills and understanding before beginning their tertiary studies.
  • Dates: 5 - 16 December 2011
  • Time:  9am - 4pm
  • Cost:  $650

Enrolments open on Monday 15 August 2011 for students applying for entry into Griffith degrees.

Enrolments open on Tuesday 16 August 2011 for students applying for entry into other Universities.

NB:  Please note that paying the cashier and obtaining a receipt does not guarantee a place in the course. Places will be allocated by the staff member and successful applicants will be given a unique number.

Mathematics Short Course (Gold Coast)

The Mathematics Short Course is a five day intensive training course designed to help students prepare for university studies that require mathematical knowledge and skills. For those with limited mathematical knowledge, this short course is particularly helpful. It also provides some core Maths knowledge that benefits study in Chemistry. This course does not meet the Maths pre-requisite for entry to university.

Date: 6 - 10 February, 2012

Time: 9am to 5.00pm

Chemistry Short Course (Gold Coast)

The Chemistry short course is designed to help students prepare for studies which involve chemistry. It is particularly helpful for those who have a minimal or non-existent background in chemistry, and for those who have not studied chemistry for a long time. This course does not meet the Chemistry pre-requisite for entry to university.

Date: 13 - 17 February, 2012

Time: 9am to 5.00pm

Cost:  $195.00 (which includes Chemistry companion text book)
