You'll develop skills in the analysis and understanding of environmental issues as well as problem solving and environmental management. You will graduate with a clear understanding of the complexity of the natural environment, and the important links between human society and economies, and nature.
You will learn interpretive skills and integrative policy approaches from lectures, workshops, field activities and laboratory work through individual and team projects.
Environmental professionals with strong social science backgrounds are needed both in Australia and internationally. Sustainability and the environment now pervade nearly all aspects of government, business and recreation and you'll find employment in a diversity of agencies, centres, consultancies, and programs throughout the private sector and in local, state and federal government.
