A major aim of the PPBio program is to create an avenue where data from PPBio research grids can be shared amongst industry partners, government organisations and non-government organisations.
What data is available?
All data from all PPBio projects will be available for use in CSV format. Each researcher will have two years to publish from his/her data before it is made available. Metadata for each data set will also be provided, explaining exactly how the data was collected in the field.
How can I access PPBio data?
The PPBio team has incorporated the Quick-R system to assist them with the dissemination of data.
Quick-R is a space on the web that provides the necessary tools to improve team collaboration and communication. Quick-R removes access boundaries and enables teams to interact more easily with colleagues from anywhere in the world. Quick-R can be accessed by anybody - regardless of whether they are a Griffith staff member or not. All staff who have a Lotus Notes Account can access a Quick-R (they have membership to) using their Griffith Portal Login and Password. Those without a Lotus Notes Account can be granted access by a Quick-R manager who will set up a specific Quick-R Login and Password.
The PPBio team can create your membership allowing you to access all PPBio data uploaded onto the Quick-R system.
To access PPBio data you will need to fill in a Data request form and agree to the PPBio data Policy. This ensures the data is used responsibly and ensures that data owners are recognised.
Once the form is completed, the PPBio administrator will send you a username and password allowing you to access Quick-R.
