- Threatened Species Week 2009: Early September
- National Threatened Species Day: 7 September
Threatened Species Week is an initiative of the Queensland Government Environmental Protection Agency and Queensland Parks and Wildlife Service.
"Threatened Species Week is about helping people, young and old, understand that there are a number of important issues that need to be managed to conserve Queensland's threatened species. Everyone has the chance to become involved in Threatened Species Week and become more aware of what can be done to help conserve some of Queensland's unique flora and fauna." - Queensland Government Environmental Protection Agency
The Threatened Species Week Poster Competition
