Come along to the launch of the EcoCentre's 2010 Community Forum Series. This year's series begins with an interesting forum on solar air conditioning and includes a presentation on solar cooking.

Free locally grown, organic refreshments starting at 5.30pm.

Speakers
  • Dane Muldoon - Local expert Dane Muldoon from the Solar Guys will discuss the problems with the current approach to air conditioning and the impact that air conditioning is having on peak load demand. Dane will present a brief history of solar cooling and highlight some local case studies. He will also give an overview of the three major types of solar cooling technologies; ABsorption chillers, ADsorption chillers and desiccant evaporative cooling systems.
  • Jane and Stan Cadjler - from Sizzling Solar Cooking will share some of their extensive knowledge and experience of solar cooking. There will be handouts and solar cookers on display.
